All about our most popular boilers - the GB Scotch and Vertical Marines

General Boiler Co., Inc. has been in the industry for over 20 years. We specialize in high efficiency scotch and vertical marine boilers, custom-designed to suit your steam needs. Everything we do is Code-certified according to ASME, National Board, CSD-1, and ETL-UL/ANSI standards. We offer low emission/low NOx options to meet regional requirements.

Here are two examples of our most popular designs: the Scotch Marine and Vertical Marine. Both of these models maximize on fuel economy by providing rapid response to sudden fluctuating load demands and maintaining proper pressure, thereby lowering your energy costs!

  • SCOTCH MARINE – Our most efficient model, this boiler features a firetube, high efficiency, two-pass dry back design. Available from 15 to 450 PSI; 7 to 50 HP. It delivers high quality steam with its exceedingly economical power burner.
  • VERTICAL MARINE – This model is also highly efficient and is a great option for drycleaning plants with limited floor space in their boiler rooms. Available in 6 to 50 HP. It comes with a highly efficient top-mounted power burner, high temperature pipes, five cleanout outlets, and Honeywell controls.

Finally, for plants that are not connected to a gas outlet, we offer the GE-12 to GE-120 models (12 through 120 kWh; 40 to 390 lbs/hr), which are electric-powered. This particular model is built of standard carbon steel with flanged heating elements and is neatly packaged in a compact vertical design. Its large capacity and insulation assure higher efficiencies, significantly reducing your energy costs. The GE steam model is available in 15 to 250 PSI; and powered through 208, 240 or 480 volts.
